Washerless- #1- Here is a list of the possible causes for this problem;; #2- DRIVE BELT LOOSE OR SLLIPING<OR BROKEN ;#2A- Check belt ,IF loose =Should not have more then 3/4 inch play in center between the pullys
, #3- Pully on motor shaft loose;;#3A- Tighten the pully ,or replace if broken;; #4- THERE are two (2) soleniolds on the motor that control the agiiate and spin#4A- you will find them on the motor;NOTE- if one is bad it is reconmended that both be replaced at the same time;; also on some modles they are internal on the motor and the motor will have to be removed and taken to a repairman ;; }
#5-TO TEST THE SOLENIODS: You will need a [VOLT -OHM ,meter} if you don't have one go to Lowe's in the electrical dept; you can get one for about $15.00;; Be sure that the one you get is capable of checking 250 volts a/c power; #5A- SET the volt ohm meter to the RX-100 scale;;While doing these tests {no power on the washer,turn off the breaker or unplug the electric cord;; #5B- TTEST one at a time to find the one or both defective#5B- REmove one wire from one soleniod; clip the meter prob to the wire terminals on the soleniold;; #5C- IF the meter reads between 250 and 1000 ohms -the soleniold is good -if the meter reads higher thyen 1000 the soleniold is defective;; replace both soleniolds;; if good test the other one the same way ;; #6- IF both tested OK replace the wires;; #7-NOW check the door sdwitch for out of adjustment or broken; if OK that leaves the control switchs; if you need any further help come back to this site and post and let us know;; Good luck and GOD BLESS ::F.B.E.
