I have a maytag gas dyer model pye 2300 aww. I replaced the Ingnitor last yr. This year the dyer buzzes, but the clothes are not fully dry I have to run the dyer 2 to 3 times to dry the clothes. Even small loads. I replaced the coil unit and had the gas valve checked but dyer still does not fully dry the clothes. I noticed that when starting the dyer you have to start the timer button a little past the origanal point. ( all settings) can this be a timer switch problem or a thermostat problem? How, if I can, check these problems without replacing them?

It appears that the gas must be igniting because the clothes eventually get dry. You can confirm this by looking through an access door (if there is one) when the dryer starts up. It's possible that the thermostat shuts off the gas before the dryer gets up to temperature. You'd need some specifications and a thermometer to trouble-shoot that.
I would suspect a plugged vent line. Lint accumulates and plugs these up all of the time. You need to disconnect the vent from the dryer and clean out the pipes. They sell long brushes that can be used to clean out the pipe. Also, make sure the outside vent is clean and the region inside the dryer from the lint filter to where the vent attaches.
