I am looking for the best quality (audio and video) in connecting a Dish Network HD Receiver (with HDMI out, component out and SD out), Panasonic DVD/VCR recorder (with component, SDout, and HDMI out) to an LG HDTV with 2 HDMI inputs, component inputs, and of course all have the coaxial cable input/outputs.
Please advise

The highest quality connections are HDMI. Next is component video (3 video, 2 audio). Next is S-Video followed by composite video. RF connections are the worst.
If you have a DVI connector, that is near the top -- probably as good as HDMI. The difference between HDMI and component video is not very great. Both are excellent. S-Video is a step down and is comparable to composite video.
Audio is almost identical among them -- probably a little worse with RF.
I'm not sure what SDout is.
