3.5 B&S engine on my push lawnmower. ( 3rd cutting season)

No throttle.. a small rubber gas pump near carb.

Recommended 3 to 4 pumps to start... it'll take more like 6 or 7 to start.

It will run 10 / 15 seconds, then I got to do it over... maybe 3 or 4 times before it keeps running.

The last time I cut, I continually had to pump gas or it will kill.

Any advice appreciated .

Your carb is likely clogged. Drain the fuek completely and drop the bowl. Clean the bowl and needle/seat with SeaFoam or other good carb cleaner, refill with freshly bought gas. Add a oz of SeaFoam to the tank and pump and start a few times until the issue clears.

Bought Seafoam... poured a little gas tank which was approx 1/4 full.

Got it started... had to press pump a few times until it would keep running on its own.

First 5 min or so it would miss/erratic but kept running.

Last 5 min or so it ran smoothly until no gas.

Thanks for your help.
