I recently left my wife and took our daughter. She was sleeping all day, and drinking at night, leaving our baby in her crib during the day while I was at work. I've had the baby for 6 weeks now, and OCS is trying to schedule appropriate visitation. My wife has since proven herself to be a fit parent, according to OCS. I suggested 1 week with me and 1 week with my wife. I have found several websites that say 1 week is too long for a 10 month old, even that overnight is not recommended. I have found just two sight that agree with me. I believe the baby should have equal time with parents and they will adjust to the schedule given. My daughter exhibits no deficiencies in development, and I believe she would do very well with that schedule. Even though I was the parent who took the initiative for the well being of our daughter, it seems like OCS is leaning towards placing our daughter back with her mother, and giving me less visitation than I would like. What are your thoughts?

Typically the non primary parent is awarded weekends or every other weekend. I really don't know of any times where kids were given every other full week with each parent.
I think that would be hard on the kid too.
