Should women feel pain around the vagina area when getting aroused?

Can you be more specific? And include all information?

Yes, more information would be helpful- describe the pain more specifically

I'm sure how to describe it. It feels like I'm going to burst down there. Its like I get really tense and the pain is like a very sore muscle. It only stops with penetration. But I'd like foreplay to last longer.

What age are you?
How long have you been having sex?
When did this become an issue for you?

I'm 25. I've been active since I was 16. Its been happening for a least the last couple years.

And you only feel the pain during foreplay- never any other time?

Personally I would discuss it with my OB/GYN.

I would talk to a doctor. Seems odd to me.

Yes only during foreplay. It makes me just want to "get it over with". I hate that feeling. That is actually one of the only things I haven't asked my OB yet. Money is a little tight so I figured maybe I could get some answers here.

I think we are all in agreement that you should discuss this with your doctor. Just to be on the safe side, he/she may want to run a screening for STDs because some can manifest themselves in different ways.

Try going to a Planned Parenthood clinic near you. They work on a sliding fee scale and can give you an examination there.
