Hey Everybody...

I've been using the bio claire oil, lotion, soap, and cream for 3 weeks and it seems like it's makes my skin darker.
When I look at my skin it looks like it has an dark skin layer.. like the skin is dirt if you know what I mean. I stop using bio claire for a week now... and I start cleaning my skin with alcohol and lemon and a dark layer would come of... but my skin is still darker.
Is that normal? What should I do now? Continue bio claire? Or should I scrub... please help!?

I've been looking online for the appropriate applicatoin from and instructions with no avail. Any idea where I can find such info? Also I don't speak portuguese, will that be a problem when making an appointment at the consulate?

If you stayed out in the sun without sunblock you tend to get darker.

Yes Secretly you could be having a allegric reaction so you should stop usage as lighterrr has said. But, just a fyi more than anything. I know you said you do not go in the sun as I rarely go out myself. But, even if you go out for short periods you should still be using a sunblock with any lightening process. And you do not have to be in the sun for excess exposure to be burnt (which many believe that you do).

This depends on each individuals skin and how long there skin type can withstand the longer exposure with sun rays. Also, your skin could just be sensitive and all lightening products are not made for everyone's skin types. This is why you should she a dermotologist to determine which process is best for your skin or you will find yourself going through a trial and error period until you find what works best for your skin type. (which a lot of us do but not necessarily the proper way, I am guilty of that)

For example, some use bio claire (myself as well) without problems and some have had reactions. So, this is a prime example of demonstrating every product does not accommodate each individual.

And hopefully, the process does not damage you skin. But in reality you should discontinue "any skin product whether lightening or not" that cause negative reactions to avoid further damage to your skin.

I hope you find something that works for you :)

Best thing I will advise anybody is to use the following

Best soaps
Kojic acid soap
3 in 1 lightening soap
Glutathione soap

Best natural cream,
Kojic acid
Arbutin
Retina
Lactic acid

Those are the best to my knowledge my friend is using it and seeing minimal results and it works for her so you might get lucky also.

Hey hun,

This will be my second time using bio claire. I first used it in late 08 and received good results when I was using it. My face cleared up and lightening about a shade in 1 week. It was bright and flawless. But, sadly enough I was not consistent with the lightening process then, so I got to the point I was using it whenever I even remembered. For me I was so busy it became as hassle to put it on 3 time a day with a combination of being lazy at the same time :D

This time around I have been using it for about 3 days and only twice a day because the lotion I had from the first time was not a lot and my new bottles will not arrive until Monday. :( I hope. But, hopefully after a month I will post before and after pics. So far thou, my skin is glowing brighter, my knees are already lightening up to match my legs, and I have these brown dots on the rim area of my face that manage to start fading gradually. It has only been 3 days but the progress is moving along nicely. (FYI-remember some lighten faster than other too, so we must be patient to. I know sometimes we look at results of others and think we have not reached that tone yet its not working.) So this time I will faithfully stick to it and move up to 3 applications a day (per instructions on the product) when my product arrives.

But, in the meantime I will put a thread here where you can look at a few photos of a couple of members progress. Check page 24 and 27.

As far as sunblock I use coppertone 30spf uvb and uva protection this is a sunscreen and not sunblock. But, you should use a "sunblock" in the lightening process so I will be switching to a sunblock as soon as I go out. Some people think sunscreen and sunblock are the same but are different I will post another thread where you can read the difference. So, I do not have to write it again :) But yeah girl you have to use a sunblock or all that work will be for nothing! Being the sun makes us darker, you will be lightening one day and turning around the next darkening again.

And here is a thread on sunblocks that the other members used.

https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/skin-lightening/whats-best-sunblock-239942.html

*Also girl, before you try anything else do a spot test on the spots that darkening before you try to lighten them to make sure there is not any irritation. (I know a lot of us do not because I am guilty again :p but doing the test will save you a lot of headache and aggravation later.)

P.S I apologize for the length of the post I have a habit of that. :o
