I need ways to get $89 by tomorrow

Hello baby:

Collect cans. If you work hard, you can probably get $89 worth by tomorrow.

Stop by your local restaurant, and tell them you'll clean up and wash dishes...

Knock on doors in your neighborhood and ask if you can clean up their yard, and haul away trash.

Go to the pawn shop and sell your favorite jewellery.

Go stand outside Home Depot and hope somebody wants you to do some labor for them.

Ask mom for a loan, or volunteer to do dishes for the next year. Ask your favorite uncle for a loan.

Put a sign on your bicycle and sell it.

Do you need more?

Is there a Movie Stop in your area? You can sell dvds.

Also, check out craigslist. They have a wanted section - you may find something you can sell. Also, try and post things on craigslist to be sold.

Mow someone's lawn. Clean up someone's yard. Walk someone's dog.

Babysit.

Maybe you should ask your parents. At 12 they were the source of my income, all tied to chores of course.

How do you use craigslist I don't get it

My dad died 7 months ago and my mom said she would only give me $20

It's a long story why I need the money

Alty
Jun 17, 2009, 11:02 AM
I believe you have to be 18 or older to post something on craigslist. I could be wrong though.

Why do you need this money so badly? If it's a matter of life and death I'm sure your parents would lend it to you.

There's no limit on how many words you can type here. If we had more info we may be able to come up with more suggestions.

Ouch. 12. Yeah, hon, I don't think you can use craigslist.

Are you in trouble?

Obviously, it's not "life or death" because your Mom would help you if it was. If she is only going to give you $20, it seems like it is something you want not need.

(I'm sorry your Dad died. That's hard. I know that pain.)

These kids at school stole a bunch of stuff from a store and blamed it on me and my friend maritza and we got charged and my mom won't pay because she doesn't believe me and my friend maritza doesn't have lots of money and we each have to pay $500 by tomorrow or we go to jail but we didn't even do anything and together we already have $911 we only need 89 more dollars

babygalrachii

Hello, reality check here.

You are a MINOR and as such will NOT be spending any time in jail!!

So double or quits, would you like to try again?

But then, can't you defend your cause? Was there any one apart from your friend Maritza and 'those kids' who have seen them? If there were no one, then how could they blame it on you? You were surely somewhere else, where people could say you were with them at that time. It is just unfair that you have to pay for others... except if you did not provide enough information...

Babygal, you're talking to a bunch of adults here, not teens. Most of us are parents, so lies don't work with us. It's a gift.

We've given you a few suggestions on getting the money, but it's raining, or your neighbors hate you or you're just plain lazy.

Were you hoping one of us would give you the money?

Not going to happen.

It's another reason to prove your innocence, or what seems like innocence. You really seem to be lying at some point. You better be frank if you really want help, and anyway, we cannot send you money through the net, if that's what you're waiting for.

no i want ideas on how to get money

You got a few good suggestions but they were all too hard for you.

There's no such thing as "quick cash", you have to work for it. It's time you learned that.

So what if it's raining, go collect cans. You'll dry off.

Good luck.

You cannot go to jail when your 12. You can go to juvenile court. Which is NOT the same thing. You cannot be tried as an adult and sentenced to jail or prison when your 12. Unless you have committed some atrocity that you are not letting us know about. Such as rape, murder, genocide, etc.

I believe if you've done something wrong then you should go to "jail".

When you go to "jail" you should reconsider the type of people you are hanging around with- despite if you did "it" or not, this should be a lesson for you to learn.

If you are really innocent, take it all the way to trial. $1,000 and your moms trust is a lot of to pay if you are.

If you are not, and you are just trying to BUY your way out of admittance, good luck. Maybe a little juvi time would do you some good.

Stealing is bad.

NONE of this adds up. Read this as I spell it out.

1. Kids at school stole a bunch of stuff... okay

2. They blamed it on you and your friend Maritza... why you and Maritza? Are these friends of yours? Were you with them when they did it? Did they just pick you out of the blue?

3. These kids stole things, apparently someone accused them. Was it a store manager? Security guard? Did someone find the goods in their possession after the fact? Did these kids set you up by stashing the goods in your backpack or something? You are not telling us why the authorities are believing the real thieves instead of you. And why in the world would your own mother not even believe you? Do you have a habit of being untrustworthy. Does Maritza have a criminal record already? A bad reputation? SOMETHING is going on here. It is not as simple as some kids pointing the finger at you and the law enforcement and your parent, buying it hook, line, and sinker.

4. If you are innocent you do NOT pay the $1000.00 just to get it to go away. Why are you so ready to accept guilt and pay restitution if you are innocent?

5. If your neighbors don't like you because you are too loud, then STOP being so loud. Something tells me there is more to it than that. Have you been a pain in the a$$ in general in the neighborhood? If so, then clean up your act. It's never too early to start conducting yourself in a way that no one would dream you were guilty of theft. Or that neighbors thought of you as a nice dependable, responsible kid. You have a long life ahead of you. Create a good one.

If you had read the whole thread, you would know that her time is up. She either came up with the money and bought her way out of admitting that she stole or she is sitting in Juvy right now paying the price.

Either way, I am the youngest of 5.

I think we all agreed that there are plenty of things that she could have done to raise the money. On the other hand, her goal was to raise $1,000 and she only needed $89 more. So she may have exhausted all of those options already. Who knows? The information that we did get was sparse and didn't really add up anyway.

N0help4u
Jun 18, 2009, 04:53 PM
I think troll too or else somebody is pulling their leg to scam them because from what I have read here I don't believe the system works this way. If the fine is legit first of all her mother who does not believe her would HAVE to HAVE been informed. Then she would have been advised to get a lawyer and have a court date.

YOU NEED to tell your mom the whole story and convince her to check into it.
Do not give them any money. They are not following legal procedure.

At 12 I think you are still under your parents' care be it single or both parents. It is their responsibility to care for all your needs till you become an adult. Don't engage in a project bigger than you.

N0help4u
Jun 19, 2009, 06:20 AM
If your mother will not do anything then YOU NEED to get the police involved. These people are taking advantage of you!
DO NOT give them any money.

The procedure if they are on the up and up is to go after your parents for the money through court.

They, if they are on the up and up, should at least give you a list of the stuff with what it cost. Then a Judge would determine depreciation. They are using your naiveness.

We are past how to get the money. If you read through she has had a bunch of suggestions and has raised most the money.

Now we need to convince her that she needs some legal advice before she hands these people any money.
