Hi!
I have a cabinet with "raised" cathedral doors which I want to change the look of. I want to remove these cathedral wood shapes that have been glued-on. My goal is to have plain doors with only the outer moldings remaining. Is there someway to remove these pieces without severely damaging the wood? I will be refinishing the doors. Thanks! Fanny

Post a pic using "go advanced/Manage attachments". What comes to mind is heat gun.

Fanny7 says:I think I've attached a picture. I'm not sure if it will be large enough for you to see, but the cathedral pieces are definitely not carved in. hoipe this picture can be viewed and is helpful.

Nice pic. That's a pretty piece of furniture.

Based on seeing it, your best bet may be a router.

Supporting the router will be difficult. I'm thinking sideways an a table saw with a rip fence kind of idea.
