How do I remove the fan motor from the fan wheel on a central a/c blower? Confused:

Actually it is all just good mechanical know how. Loosen the set screw that attaches the motor shaft to the blower wheel. Then remove all attaching bolts that are holding the motor bracket to the blower housing and the motor will just pull out (THAT IS) if the shaft and blower wheel are not all junked up with dirt etc. In that case a liberal amount of something like WD-40 will need to be sprayed on the shaft to help the situation out. The worst case is if the shaft is somewhat rusted and then you will need to sand the shaft and rotate the cage back and forth. (NO HAMMERS NECESSARY) if you have already used one and peened the shaft end you are toast.
