Would it be OK to give my Jack Russell mix an Ibeprofin he is acting like his muscles are sore. He won't jump and that's not like him... he gives to his left hind quarter. He usually is real active and now he doesn't want to move around... and if he does... he Yelps and sits down.

How old is he?
You most probably need to get him to a vet to make sure he doesn't have something seriously wrong.

Let us know and maybe we can give you some ideas but without a diagnosis we can only guess at what all the problems could be.

It sounds like he sprained something, but you need to see a vet to be sure.

Jack Russels are very high energy dogs, I'm sure I don't have to tell you that, and they can easily sprain their muscles or tear a ligament.

The vet is your best bet, we can't give a diagnosis here.

Good luck.

We are not real possitive of his age. We kind of inherited him We think he may be about 5-6 years old. Very healthy otherwise

Do not give your dog Ibuprophen. Even at low doses, it has been known to cause gastric ulceration. Take him to the vet.

5-6 yrs old he must of got hurt more than likely.
I doubt it would be his joints going bad at that age but it is possible.
