Amana side by side refrigerator model #srd25s5w will not cool. No frost in freezer, lights and fans work, compressor runs warm (maybe on the hot side). I removed the relay and shook it and it sounded intact. What else could be wrong with this?

You need to use a multitester and check for bad components otherwise you're just guessing.

So, it sounds like the compressor is, in fact, running. If that's the case, it sounds like you've lost Freon. You'll need a licensed Freon handler to recharge it. You won't be able to do that yourself.

My fridge did same thing I bought a new one. Then spent hours searching net for clues as to what was wrong. It simply needed the back cover to be unscrewed and vacummed. The fridge still was not cold but freezer was took a few days before I realised I had adjusted the temp to make freezer coldest. Readjusted and balanced the two. It works fine.
