Lately I've been kind of bored with the down I live it. I go to the local community college. But most of my friends go to big school are are leaving after this summer to attend schools. I really don't want to be the last one left here and I was thinking about doing something new. My uncle lives in New York and I'm sure if I asked hed let me move there. I was thinking about maybe moving there for a semester and just take some classes at there local community collge and move back after. Do you think that that would be a good idea? I mean I figured if I didn't like it there its only a semster and I could move back afterward.

If you don't have obligations where you are at, now is the time to take a chance and give it a try. As you said, it is only one semester and you can always come back... or perhaps even try another location.
If you attend school in New York, you will be paying out of state fees so keep that in mind.
