I live in Washington state and I was told by a friend that I could use her car if I ever needed to so I used it. Well a few day's later she decided to call it in and tell the police that I stole it. I'm just curious if her mom can really do that?

If you got permission from the mom, then just tell the judge that. If you got permission from the daughter, she didn't have the right to give you permission.

Who gave you the keys to the vehicle? The daughter or the mom? And how did you get the keys to the vehicle?

Since she did, obvoiusly she can. So you get an attorney and use her giving you permission as your defense.
