View Full Version : After automatic update: Error 1402: Setup cannot open registry key

After my most recent automatic update I now receive 'Error 1402: Setup cannot open registry key' when trying to open MS Office products. I have had this cpu for 2 years with no problems. I have not added/deleted any software. My system info:

There's a two-year-old Microsoft Knowledge base article about this. Follow the instructions here and see if you can't fix the problem. If you can't, post back with what happened and we'll help you further.
