My HP laptop will not hold the brighter screen when I use the... tab... as directed on the Q menu. It will brighten for a brief moment, and then fade over 10 seconds to a dark view. I have tried using the Tablet and Pen settings display tab, but that will not allow me access to the grayed out area where I could choose different display settings for different power options.

Go to the website for the brand of the laptop (HP, Dell... ) and download an updated video driver, perhaps there is a download for the Quick Launch buttons on your laptop.
