Chairs - a set on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/30674815@N08/sets/72157619612865006/detail/) I have a set of older chairs that we are getting rid of. They are very solid oak. They have really thick cushions that are light blue. They are part of a dinnette set but we are keeping the table because it is high quality. I was not able to locate a manufacturer name on them anywhere but I did not know where to look. Any thoughts?

Hi, ttownley!

Are the chairs in excellent condition? For instance: holding together well; little if any small dents and scratches in the wood; and the cushions are in really great shape?

Also, approximately how old would you say that they are, please?

Thanks!

Not sure of their value, it depends a lot on the condition they're in, the age, who made them. The fact that they're solid oak is nice, but not that unusual.

I did find a site that might help you get a better understanding on the prices for antique wood furniture.

Antique Oak Furniture at Bargain Johns Antiques Page 1 (http://www.bargainjohn.com/OakFurniturePage1.htm)

I hope that helps.

I just had another thought, ttownley...

The table is definitely an antique and made of oak, but I don't think the chairs are either of those things. It's a little bit hard to tell by the images as to the type of wood that they are.

Thanks!

Everything still in excellent condition. We are selling the whole set now, not just the chairs. I have no idea how old. We got them 2 years ago second hand.

Would it be possible for you to post a couple, really clear images of the grain pattern of the chairs?

Thanks!
