I'm in the market for a new heating and cooling system. Not sure if I should go with Amana or Comfortmaker. It appears that Comfortmaker has a better warranty, but I'd be interested in any input that someone familiar with these products may have. Thanks!

Are you dead set on one of these two brands? Do a little research for consumer feedback before committing. You may find that neither has a great track record in the area of customer satisfaction. While the warranty will cover failed parts, the labor is often the greater expense.

Nah, I'm not sold on either of them, but that's what the contractor offered. You're right though, both had iffy reviews. Another guy offers Westinghouse, but I don't know that those have any better reviews. So far, if I'm not mistaken, Comfortmaker offers the better warranty.

Look for 10 years parts and labor warranty. I will say it again 10 years parts and LABOR warranty and then compare the quotes. Remember the best price is not always the best deal

I would go with the comfortmaker. As a contractor I installed both comfortmaker and amana. By far comfortmaker is superior!! And my home I have tempstar which is things comfortmaker and it has had not one problem. In addition I have install the hundreds of comfortmaker systems so so far I've only had to replace 1 capacitor 1 coil in 1 expansion valve!! Whereas when I put in amanda and goodman I have a thousands of leaky coils
