I recently found out, by requesting a copy of my credit report, that a default judgement was entered against me in June of 2008. I never received the amended summons with notice that the plaintiff's attorney's service processor claimed he nailed and mailed. I want to have the judgement vacated. How do I do that and how much time to I have to do so? Thanks

Hello m:
I have never heard of a statute that limits the time you have to go back to CORRECT a judgment. So, I'll say there is NONE, and stake my reputation on it.

There is a timeframe in which you can file an appeal to a judgment. If you weren't properly served, you can also file to have the judgment vacated.
What state are you in? States have different laws in regards to how a defendant can be served.
