I have been diagnosed with an overactive thyroid and the doctor told me I am 75% more likely to have a downsyndromed baby or a miscarrage or a stillborn. I have had a miscarrage and I have been having bleeding, pains and I can't eat because everything I do I throw up. The medicine I have been taking has made me feel depressed. If I feel depressed now will I have bad post martum (sp?) depression and will my baby be depressed also? I am very worried and I don't know what to do. I have talked to my doctor but all he says is it is my hormones? Is something wrong with me?

Crystal, your tyroid is hyperactive. That is what is wrong with you. My wife has the same issue. She doesn't get so depressed as she gets honorary or angry. The mixture of meds is some of the cause of the mood changes. Make sure you are going to see a thyroid specialist. The thyroid controls hormones and hormones dictate emotions. It can usually be treated with meds, surgery and nuclear med. Hope this helps.
