My girlfriend of over a year and I broke up a few months ago. Now I realize it was foolish and had no real reason. We lived together and talked about getting married, I drug my feet to long and ruined things. I know she was unhappy because of the thing I did not do. I was selfish and hard headed, smoked weed and got lazy. I was not a bad boyfriend but I was secluded. I quit smoking and stopped being a lump on the couch, I work out more and feel I have grown a lot. I would really like to make things right with us but can't seem to get the response I want. I know we are right for each other a need advice on how to get her attraction back for me. Hope to hear from someone soon.

Sometimes having a change of heart and doing the right thing doesn't always mean that you're going to come out smiling in the end because you changed yourself around. I'm sure you did all these changes not just for her, I hope for yourself as well. However, sometimes, you must realize, that your best may not always be enough.
Even if you cannot win her heart again, continue to keep up the good work. Be proud of yourself because you've come a long way. Please don't get discouraged and go back to your old ways even if she does not accept you back. You've worked hard and you should be proud of yourself for making the changes, even if she cannot accept you back.

The wisest thing you can do is to remain single for a while and continue with the improvement work.
Do not try to show her who you are becoming. Let her see it for herself in a natural way.
You may feel you are right for each other but this lady must feel the same about you and the only way she is going to see that is if she sees in you the qualities that she always wanted.
True change does not go un-noticed... however you will have to "pay the price" for your bad karma.
Let her go... do your thing. If she comes back you will have been one of the blessed ones to have been forgiven.
LEt her go

You being a lazy doper screwed this relationship up. Glad your on a better path and I hope you stay on it. Don't bother your ex just keep improving and if she likes what she see's great, if not still great. Move on and leave her alone.
