Hi,
People break up for many reasons, but commonly giving up to work on the relationship.
Either you are dumping or being dumped, the pain is equally unbearable. Sadly, there is no short cut to avoid this...
I hear so many painful stories here, and like to know how you guys are breaking up.
#1 BURN-THE BRIDGE-COMPLETELY (My style)
I am very sincere, devoted, and one-man-woman. However, if I realize the man does not deserve me (by cheating), I decide to breakup to avoid further pain & loss.
When I break up, I clearly burn the bridge at the spot. (Criticize me if I am wrong.)
To me, so called "friendship" after break-up is impossible between man and woman (especially with ex) due to the combination of lack of trust & but still strong physical attraction, and I refuse to be friend with the soon-to-be-ex when I break up. I tell clearly "I am very sorry, but this is the last time you and I see each other. I do not want to see you again in my life. This is the best for us." I know it sounds so cold, but if I would have HOPE I would try harder, and I already decided to break up, and there is no point to do the sugar coating for the already dead relationship. Believe me. It so painful in the beginning due to the COMPLETE LOSS WITHOUT HOPE TO GO BACK. However, after for a while, I find myself heal quickly since there is NO FALSE HOPE. For the period, I locked myself in my room (call sick days to work) without talking to anyone, and cry for days without eating. I talk to myself "the person I have loved just died inside of me. The person walking around with his name is not the man I loved." It works since I completely isolate my pain from the actual person, the ex. (Obviously, I never web back to none of my ex. However, the losers come back later and ask forgiveness. It was my big mistake blah blah... very funny but not for me.)
Guys, what is your break-up style? Please add here. We can learn from each other.
