My husband has had this lump inside his neck above his collar bone for about a year now the swelling comes and goes but he has gone to doc and they took blood and said its not thyroid.. it doesn't make any sense to me we can't afford to keep going to doc but it scares me.. I don't want his throat to swell so big one night he suffocates, he is a stubborn man as it is took me a year to get him to go.. what could it be.. please help

It might be a lymphnode. Try going to a different doctor, for a second opinion.

I agree with clarizzy. He needs to be evaluted due to breathing difficulty. Go to any er. They are obligated to treat you even without ins.
