What type of grease or oil do you use in the rear end of a murray 17hp twin cylinder riding mower, model 46560X92A?

Hi,
Depending on whether it is a Spicer (their grease, though a good synthetic will work) or Peerless (Bentonite, their grease.)
It is generally sealed for life and 80 wt. is from the distant past.
If it is a hydro then 10W30 graded SJ or higher.

Hi,
To carmel gordon please start your own thread by choosing "Ask about Tools and Power Equipment" and I am sure I will, and others probably, try to help. Wise would be to get the model number off the tag on the rear of the frame or under the seat. Also, be sure to tell exactly what it does do or not do after you have done what you have done to try to start it.
Peace,
Clarke
