I have an order of protection against me from a former girlfriend. The reason was because of several phone calls and emails from me to her. I was trying to get over $12,000 worth of furniture that was mine, back from her. The judge awarded me my furniture back but extended the op, again there was never any threats just phone calls. We live in the same town and run into each other constantly, so I went to the courthouse and filed a motion to vacate. My reasons I believe are very founded and no one seems to understand why this judge extended the op icluding a few friends who are police officers. My court date is this Friday and my question is thiis: Is there anything that I should or shouldt say to this judge to either help or hurt my case? I really need this op to be vacated as I feel like I am walking on eggshells every time I leave the house.

Thank you in advance

Make sure you bring copies of the emails with you. Also make sure anything related to the furniture that you have you take with you. If she filed an emergency order then its almost a given that they would put one on you till a hearing. Steer clear of her not matter what. Just be honest. Making non threatening phone calls could be considered stalking so be very careful and make sure you stick to the issue.
