My guess is that either the thermal fuse has blown, or your heating element has burned out.

Here (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/appliances/kenmore-dryer-not-starting-209359.html#post1011867) is a link that may prove useful.

If not the fuse, then the element itself may be burned out. This can also be easily checked with a ohmmeter. Or visually sometimes.

The thermal fuse is generally really easy to replace; the element is a little more work but still doable for someone handy.

Also, while you're back there clean out the lint from the vent pipe and the dryer itself.

Best of luck,

Mike2K10- if you still have a problem come back to this post and I will lead you threw testing other parts that could also be the trouble;; you will need a [volt-ohm meter to do the testing ;; you can get one at Lowe's or home depot in electrical dept for about $15.00 Have a great day and GOD BLESS ;;F.B.E.
