Has anyone ever had a psychic reading that turned out to be true? I have had a few readings by different psychics... I thought that two of them were full of crap, but I really believe one of them to be sincere. Any thoughts?

Many psychics are probably sincere in that they believe they can divine something real through their particular method. But it's usually a trick (Look up Derren Brown on youtube) in which both people are fooled, or an outright hoax. I'd like to believe that some people are clairvoyant, but haven't seen one yet. And I used to do readings as a pick-up technique. It worked!

I think you've probably just answered your own question really. Nobody can tell you whether they are real or acting, because we have fakes and genuine people too, it just depends on who you go to really. Like you've already said, two were crap and one you believe to be sincere. Trust your own judgement on it, as nobody else can answer it for you, only their own thoughts and experiences.

I believe the majority of them are fake and even the real ones are often wrong.

The problems with Psychic's is that it's their theory of how to interpret what they see (if they are real). In my culture, there are quite a few Psychic's (or known as Shaman's). I'm Hmong (if you don't know what that means: in a nutshell, we're descendants of Chinese people) and we go to Shaman's for spiritual help because some can see and talk to the dead, other's can see your problems and get you answers.

The problems with Shaman's is that they are not advertised on the internet or on a paper. They are only known by word of mouth and they don't help anyone who is willing to pay them. You have to "beg" (bow and pay your respects to them) to help you (and sometimes if you're not in their clan, you have to pay).

So... To answer your question, I do believe Psychic's are real. But if you know anything about the real ones, you have to understand that they are interpreting what they "see". Sometimes, you have to ask very specific questions. I have met several Shamans/Psychic's in my life, and they have all been real as they take it very seriously. They know things I never thought they would have and when they start "looking" for your answer, they see the start of the issue and what's going on and how to resolve it.

Good luck!

Hi. Thanks for your response. I know who Hmong people are, and I've heard of Shaman's. (I've actually done some research on them lately.) There is a psychic that I have seen a couple times who I believe to be sincere. I went to him lately to get some help with herbal meds for my depression. I'm not sure if it's helping yet, but I'm still trying it, as I don't have health insurance right now to get help with antidepressants. Before I left this psychic's shop a couple weeks ago he gave me a necklace. He told me that it was donated by a Shaman a few days earlier and he was just waiting for the right person to give it to. I wear it fairly often and pray that things will soon turn around for me.

I know I was offered a "job" by one of the 900 line psychic lines, I did not take it, but they could care less about my ability, what they did care about was how long I could keep them on the phone.

You have an ability?
