Hi have been reading your posts and your information is very helpful. J_9 has kindly answered this question for me but wondering has anyone been through the same.

Missed period on 30th September
Spotting on 3rd, 4th, 5th October pink in colour.
Positive pregnancy tests x 3
6th, 7th, 8th October bleeding like period pink/reddish.
8th Positive pregnancy test.
9th today seems to be stopping.

I have blood test tomorrow just want a feel of what I should be expecting.

Do you think I have miscarried, ectopic pregnancy or any opinions on this would be grateful.

Thanks

Nicola

I will answer here so that others can see my answer.

It is not unusual to bleed in the very beginning. This sounds very normal. And I don't believe there is anything to worry about.

This is quite normal for many women. Just ask your doc when you go have the blood test to put your mind at ease.

Well bleeding has stopped just have tiny spot of brownish blood. I hate not knowing what's happening, can't wait till tomorrow for blood test its so frustrating. How long does it take for results of blood test?

All depends on the doctor's office. I had a doctor that I only had to wait 10 minutes. Some doctors prefer to send their labs out.

Keep me posted to what you find out.

Still none the wiser today after being to the maternity hospital, after being prodded ha ha! They were unable to tell me much. They said the entrance to the uterus was not open and there was no blood surrounding which was a good sign, I have some mucus in my urine which they think might be a urine infection. So in Ireland where I am I have to wait 7 weeks before I can get an ultrasound which will be next week.

Just an update. Have my ultrasound on Friday, but Friday gone I was standing at the sink well I felt all faint, I went to the toilet and seen blood. It was over as quick as a noise bleed, it was red/pink in colour and wasn't spotting it just stopped then I felt sick so went home to bed. Its so frustrating not knowing. Im very nausious today and breasts are very sore. If you miscarry do your symptoms go straight away.

I have never miscarried, maybe someone who has will answer also.

However, the sore breasts and nausea most likely do not go away immediately. They are caused by and increase in the hormone called HCG. It takes time for the HCG to decrease in your body.

You need to get into the doctor immediately!! If in fact you did miscarry you need to make sure it was a complete miscarriage. You should not wait around for this as it can cause fertility problems in the future if it was incomplete and you do nothing about it.

Thanks. This is the first week I have had nausea and breast soreness. My Doctor told me not to return to hospital unless I have severe cramping and heavy continuous bleeding.

Whenever you have a quick onset of bleeding that is a sign that something is wrong. At least give him a call and let him know what is going on. He may want to see you.

There are some women who miscarry and do not have much cramping at all or bleeding at all. I guess it depends on the women. The one symptom that was really scary when there were signs of miscarrying was feeling very weak and almost fainting. The doctor should have told you to go to the hospital right away. Not just if there is heavy cramps and heavy bleeding because these signs are not always there when having a natural miscarriage. It is frustrating and I know exactly what you mean and know exactly how you feel.

Sorry to hear about you miscarrying. Hope you are feeling better soon. Please know that we are hear if you need anything or anybody to talk too.
