I bought a Toshiba TV 29av505d three months ago. I normally have it on standby (red light) but yesterday when I came back home the red light was off and now I can't turn the TV on again (I tried by pressing the power on/off button on the remote control or on the tv) but without success.

Hi mehdya! There was perhaps a power cut during your absence. Perhaps, the sudden power returning back damaged the circuits.

Other possibilities include that your TV was faulty, or that there may have been some short circuit because of some insect or gecko. It once happened to my TV.
