Went to GP yesterday because on Sunday I noticed a 1" long blood clot in the palm of my hand, I instantly took an asprin and did so for a couple of days, the doc said I was very lucky, but he gave me no medication and said its probably gone, do they just go on there own or should he have given me something. Thank you:(

I agree with the doctor, the aspirin you took for a couple of days acted as a blood thinner and probably dissolved the clot. No there isn't anything else he could have given you. If I were you I would not want that to happen again. Next the blood clot could be somewhere different and travel up to your heart causing irreversible damage. I would go into this further with him and find out the best preventative approach.

Was it a true blood clot or maybe a blood blister?
