Bioclair isn't a safe product the reason being the product contains hydroquinone which isn't safe doctors are saying usage of lotions that have HQ often lead to skin cancer also once you discontinue using a product that contains HQ your skin ends up being very dark, darker then usual and most people end up having dark pimples all over their face. If I were you I wouldn't use bioclair good luck finding a safe product that works for you.

OK do you want to go really light
Ow well den imma give yuh my lightening secret
This will make you like 4 shades lighter in a wekk if you do it proply na d consistently
. Oright get yourself bio claire lotion and the oil and mix it in a tub and then you will need 1 other maxi light oil and hot movate gel mix all this together in a tub
And store in tha frigde over night
The next morning get yourself a lemon
Squezze it into a cup dip your finger in and apply the lemon liquid to your face and neck leave on until it dries
Then wash off
Now apply your lightening lotion to your body
At lease twice through the day when it gets to night time
Here's da trick
Apply it thickly on your legs and arms
And neck
And then get some glad wrap and wrap it
Over those area
Easliy
Don't apply the glad wrap to your face though
And then aplly it thick on your face
And go to sleep with your face facing upwards
And make sure you put on socks over the toes
In the morning you will wake up don't take it of until it gets to about 11:50
Go to the bath tub fill it wif really warm water
And take all that stuff of
And lay in da tub
All your dead skin wiff come of and
Your skin will be so light
Do this about one whole week
Straight
And I swear you will notice results
But please stay out of the sun because then your skin will only reproduce more melanin
After you get to your desired result
Only do this twice a week
And the rest of the week normally apply the cream to the body softly
This will maintain the color
Anywas I do this and I went so light
That its so noticeable
Like
Because I went from trey songs color to a bit lighter then chris brown... Anyway try this people I swear by it

Although bio claire claim to not contain hq on their labels, they have been tested by authorities to contain 0.06%. Which isn't much.. but still too much to lie to their customers for those who do not like hq, they deceive. I asked them about this but they refuse to respond. I see nothing wrong w/ hq when used properly and isn't for everyone, but if a product contains it, they should be honest and tell the truth.

I used fair and handsome lol I know its for guys but they say that one is made to get through tuff male skin so it should be good for my african american skin... im about ciara's color originally... it smoothed my skin but no drastic results... Yeah, I agree. I have heard of fair & handsome, the Indian brand right? I have seen their commercials on YouTube where Shah Rukh Khan is spokesmodel. Does it work? The commercials are insulting..
I'm on nadinola, retin-a, neutrogena grapefruit facial scrub. How is the Carolight and active ingredients?

Yeah it's the Indian one... the commercial is so harsh I know... very insulting! It kind of works but I think it would take continued use for like 10month at least to get 2-3 shade lighter... atleast there's no HQ though. About Caro light... I thought it was working a bit.. but I just went into an elevator with mirros (im at work) and my skin looks so light today... so I think its starting to work faster with the baking soda... it has HQ in it though so I might be switching to fair and hadsome again.. atleast its made for indian skin.. I use the male one so it can be stronger...

Wow 10 months is so long, we can reach our goals much sooner w/ other products. 2-3 shades can be achieved in 1.5-3 months. That is always a good feeling when we see the fruits of our labour through the means of mirrors... great invention, and of course our curious observers.. lol.

Caramel1989

Are you talking to me? Lol I'm not even sure but if you are.. I only do my face... the rest of my body is pretty even and about 4shades lighter.. like my body is light golden yellow like rihanna.. but my face is more caramel/yellow... like raven or ciara type... so if I just get my face yellow.. it will look natural because the rest of my body is not blotchy and its my natural colouring. I don't want to lighten my body because I'm afraid that then it will start to become sensitive and then get dark... even in the summer my body stays yellow.. weird and its always exposed.. (ok not all my body is exposed LOOL but you know what I mean)

I see, then that is good that you are already close to your goal.
For me, my face has almost lightened up t the same tone as my upper body, maybe in a few more weeks it will match. My upper body is lighter than the lower body.. except for my face became so tanned. It would be nice for it to match again, also working on removing any blotchiness and scars. Then from there, I want to maintain a shade of Beyonce.

Hey Darcskin, where did you here this that Nadinola contains mercury? Can you please provide me with the links? I have read several articles of products containing mercury, but Nadinola was omitted and not listed as one of these. I'll further check and post my findings here, but Nadinola Extra Strength does contain 3% Hq and I have been using hq for about 3.5 months now. I do know that Hq products are listed on several articles that are against the use of hq, mercury, and steroids. But, hq 4% are prescribed by dermatologists here in the U.S. to patients along with the recommendation of an exfoliant, and is safe to use for 6 months or less per areas and when used properly. It has more of an old-fashioned smell, for me it smells OK and decent.

Yeah I know... if you use a product that doesn't have HQ for your maintaining part, it should be good because well have to go through summer tans so it should balance out. Its not like we can get to a white persons color by continuing our use of product... theres a certain maximum color one get get too I would think. So far my Caro light has really been working coupled with baking soda exfoliant. I compared my face with the rest of my body and there is about 1-2 shade difference.. it use to be about 4shades... Im waiting on my 55H crystalline and cream though. I wanted to switch to a product with no HQ so that I can use it forever pretty much. I hope it won't distrupt how far I've come with Caro light though :s.. I guess ill take a chance

Hi, OK, so I hate to be a spoiler, but there are some things you should know about bio claire. First of all, I started using it 2 days ago, I'm naturally light, but just needed to get rid of an uneven tan, so appearently the cream and soap worked super fast for me, I only put it on the tanned spots and in 2 days, I was all the same light colour. I figured this was kind of strange for a product that's supposed to be all natural, it has mulberry and berberry , kojic acid, and a few other natural lighteners, however, all of these according to dermatologists take weeks, and in cases with just the arbutin, months to lighten 2/3 shades, and here this worked in just 2 days.
Firstly it's made in africa, so law wise, they can get away with not putting all the ingredients on the label, basically what I found out is that the company did a voluntary recall on 2 products, I think it was, last year, see below for the reasons:
RECALL INFORMATION

________________________
Now you'll notice even though one of the reasons stated is .06% HQ and clobetasol proprionate 0.029%. That's not enough to cause so much lightening so fast, however you'll also notice that it has glucocorticosteroid.
So yeah, basically it contains steroids, the side effects of topical steroids include acne, thin skin and red patches, here is the list of side effects from the journal of The American Academy of Dermatology:
" The most frequent adverse effects include atrophy, striae, rosacea, perioral dermatitis, acne, and purpura. Those that occur with lower frequency include hypertrichosis, pigmentation alterations, delayed wound healing, and exacerbation of skin infections. Of particular interest is the rate of contact sensitization against corticosteroids, which is considerably higher than generally believed. Systemic reactions such as hyperglycemia, glaucoma, and adrenal insufficiency have also been reported to follow topical application." ---http://www.eblue.org/article/S0190-9622(05)00255-0/abstract
So at the end of it all, I think that if you want something that works and works fast, then that's bio claire, but there are serious side effects to your health and it can mess up your skin as well, I think if your going to use it, you should probably go with once a day, the risk of these effects decrease with the amount of steroid you're exposed to, so maybe once a day use the cream and the soap, use that as normal, wear sunblock and after you've lightened up a bit, go to everyother day or less, also be aware that you'll bruise easier, as your skin is thinner, and bio claire has cause stripes/ stretch marks to develop

Feb 9, 2010, 09:52 AM
Salirah, yes rubbing bio claire is the equivalent to rubbing battery car acid on the face and body.
Caramel1989, that's really good that you are seeing results from Carolight. Do you know how much hq it contains?
Darcskin, I double checked and L'Oreal Nadinola products are free of any form of mercury or steroids. It contains 3% hq, more than the required ovt amount but is a dermatological amount (for those who do not like hq). The one you saw is a counterfit and copying of names in order to make sells and shsould be avoided, nor is it supposed to be made in Jamaica, that is a counterfit.
Original L'Oreal Nadinola Skin Discoloration Fade Cream must be manufactured and exported from only Strickland & Co. in Olive Branch, Mississippi, U.S. which is a respectful company. What oyur referring to is Jamaican Nadinola which is a separate product of it's own manufacture from a different company with no affilation. The Jamainca Nadinola's complete name is
De Luxe Nadinola Bleaching Cream awhich does post "3% ammonium mercury" and is a 100% Jamaican product:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/47392064@N06/4343903089/
And shoudn't be confused with the L'Oreal Nadinola Skin Discoloration Fade Cream, Extra Strength Formula made in MS, U.S.:

Ohh My God GOLDEN G, thank God I ran away from the store as soon I saw mecury in the Naddy's label. I was afraid I'ld be tempted to buy it in spite of the mercury. I remembered the warning my Irish boyfriend/husband gave me that if I used anymore "stinky" product, he's going to move out for good! But before I ran out of the store though, I had dipped 2 fingers into the Naddy jar and the smell that came out was so horrendous. (sorry for the bad English) But, oh, what can I do - I proceeded to massage the Naddy cream on my 2 hands. And then I ran out of the store. And here's my personal test to know if a product truly contains Mercury and other illegal stuffs: When I fell asleep that night, I started to have nightmares in which I was moaning out loudly. I woke up to the sound of my loud wailings. It's the price I have to pay for lighter skin. So ladies, if you are having nightmares at night, it might be a sign that your skin product has been "TOUCHED". That's all I can say to avoid lawsuits. And to GoldenGirl, your alwayz my hero (hope you know that). Kisses and love. Bye girlz.

Here's a link to some skin lightening solutions, and clarification on what works and what doesn't and what's dangerous: Google Answers: which skin whitening product really work (http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview/id/737014.html)
Also inregards to what I said earlier, about if you really want to use, stick to once a day... well maybe you should'nt even do that, topical steroids can also suppress immune system functions, cause cushings syndrome etc read below, and for more info, just follow the link at the end :
Local side effects
The most common side effects occur locally in the areas of skin treated with the steroid. Probably the most well known is thinning of the skin (atrophy), which sometimes results in permanent stretch marks (striae). Fine blood vessels may swell and become prominent under the skin surface (telangiectasia), again a permanent change. There may be a temporary loss of pigment in the areas of skin treated; this may be more noticeable in dark-skinned people. Sometimes the skin may become allergic to the steroid, making the eczema appear to get worse. The skin may also bruise more easily and become more susceptible to infection. For this reason topical steroids should never be used to treat inflamed skin that is also infected, unless the infection is also being treated.

Bio Claire is the best, I use to stay in the sun a lot and play basketball so I got darker than usual but I started using bio claire in September 2009 and wow. I saw results immediately and I still use it today. It is very good but the only problem is that dark spots came on my face.So I stop using it on my face and still continue using it on my body. For 1) it has no hydroquinon
2)it has coconut oil, palm oil, sodium hydroxyde, water, sodiun carbonate, sodium metabisulfite, sulfite, bearberry extract, mulberry extract, licorice extract, lemon extract, and kojic acid. Bio Claire is the best that's what I'm using now!! Great Results.

...That comment there needs to be flagged
I refuse to believe you are actually serious? That's is not "Angelic". It's one thing to knowingly or unknowingly choose to use that to lighten... that is your choice to do so and you are free to use permanently, as it is your own body. But, you do not have to fib about what is utter crap for deliberate reasons. Please read carefully. How can one literally force yourself to believe as such. Even when there are international authoritative documentations, laboratory testings, bannings, legalized warnings, and not to forget the majority of customer's (and including your very own body's) negative experiences... and yet to still deliberately force yourself to actually choose to wallow in self-indulgent incomprehensions. That statement must be some form of prank or joke, because what needs to also be included that the sun is green and the grass is burnt orange... that is just sad. Very, very, very sad until it is almost amusing.
"strictly natural ingredients"? No. False. Very false. Those "natural" ingredients are very minimal, in other words "ingredient dressing", in comparison to the 2 forms of steroids that was poured in the formula... no wonder it is so cheap. (not to mention the 0.06% of hq) that bio claire has been repetitively tested for... Yes, Hq can be used safely and this amount is very minimal. But, it's just wrong and dishonest to unknowing customers who reads "no hydroquinone" plastered on the label, not knowing what they are slathering on.. as many of us believed that this was true... but just as a paternity test medically given does not lie on who the father is.. nor does the laboratory tests for bio claire. For they have completely failed all in the name of greed.
By the way, all of the ingredients listed are not "natural", nor are many of them needed to make a basic skin crème, lotion, serum, or soap.
No reason for me to continuously repeat like broken records on the problems with bio claire, as you have refused to even read just a little of what so many members have posted, and use the time wisely to absorb common facts. But, please keep the false ideologies to yourself. No. I have no questions to ask. Nothing :(. I prefer asking the importation authorities, the scientists, the customers, and myself... although I did try to ask nicely to bio claire's makers now 3 times over the course of about 7 months... and their still not talking... :o. But maybe after another 4 years they will answer, perhaps?

Bio claire is strictly natural ingredients, do not listen to others that say bio claire is non-safe.
For 1) it has no hydroquinon
2)it has coconut oil, palm oil, sodium hydroxyde, water, sodiun carbonate, sodium metabisulfite, sulfite, bearberry extract, mulberry extract, licorice extract, lemon extract, and kojic acid. Bio Claire is the best thats what im using now!!! Great Results.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.
Wow!
I have heard many things about Bio Claire's ingredients and this is the FIRST time I have ever heard it being called all natural:eek:
Any product that can give it's users stretch marks cannot be all natural.
I also noticed the ingredients you listed are for the Bio Claire Soap and not the cream have you used their cream?

Who knows what is in this cream?
The only thing that is sure is that it isn't safe it is toxic.
People don't be so desperate to lighten and stop advertising this poison!!
Please!

Misty I do agree, with you.. you shouldn't harm yourself in the quest to have a brighter and lighter skin
No ones advertising here. People are just stating what works for them they do by the way have the right to be publicly heard, and a discussion to be had,OK.
And the resposiblity to themselves not to use this.
Let's remember where not alone on the forum who too have the right to there own opinion
Its kind hurtful to be shutdown every time you try and say something.

Yes africacute I know that everyone can have his opinion I agree with you but you know when I started using bio claire I googled it to learn more about it and on 1st page I found ask me help desk reviews it was like 1 year ago and everybody was like this is the best product out there.
That's why I started using this and I ended looking like a dalmatian(all natural?)
If I just read "this is poison" I would have looked after something else.
Now my skin is looking good again(thanks to retin a).
There are many skin lightening newbies and they put a lot of trust in our reviews just like I did when I started my skin lightening journey.
I'm not being rude I respect everyone here just don't want people to have the same bad experience as me and many others here ;)

Im a user of Bioclaire and I have to say, this is one of the best products Ive come across! The reason I began using this is not to lighten my skin, but to even out post inflammatory hyperpigmentation that was left by a terrible procedure gone wrong. My ethnicity is east indian decent from Africa and I have light olive color skin and live in the sunshine state Miami, Fl. I've always had a problem with ingrown hairs on my lower legs and loved to pinch and squeeze the hairs out, in turn leaving me with nasty scars all over my legs. I researched and contemplated long and hard before I decided on laser hair removal to fix this problem. About 9 months ago I went in for the procedure for laser hair removal... it was a great idea and would have been the answer to my problem, however the place I chose was not a good idea! I got it done at Premier Center for Cosmetic Surgery, don't ever go there guys! The Esthetician messed up my legs badddddd, leaving me with boils, blisters, and burns all over. It was a horrible experience!! As I mentioned before, I live in Miami, Fl in blazing hot humid weather, this procedure left me all scarred up, I was not able to go to the beach, show my legs, wear shorts, skirts, nothing! It has been so uncomfortable! Sex with my boyfriend was sooo embarrassing as well, I did not let him see my legs sp I had to spice it up a little bit and make it work by wear stockings to cover my legs up! Anyway long story short, the scars over time faded away some, but not fully. I was left with splochy patches all over my legs, dark sports, light spots, it looked ridiculous! I finally took initiative to research what I could do to lighten my scars. I started using a home remedy by rubbing lemons on my legs at night at first after reading that they could be used to lighten dark spots. Interestingly enough it seemed to smooth my skin a bit, it was a great start, however I only did that for a few days before I came across bioclair,I read some greatt reviews on it and I said what do I have to lose!? I bought myself a bottle of bioclair oil at Deco Drive Beauty Supplies last week. Ive been using it once a night, rubbing on a thin layer with a cotton ball. Immediately I've seen results after about 5 days of using it!! Its amazing! The scars on my legs are evening out and Im sooo excited to wake up in the morning to see how they look! Its been a really pleasant experience for me so far, and Im sooo happy I came across this product! I don't know if my legs will ever look 100%, but bioclair is doing a great job thus far, and I intend to continue using it with anticipation of great results! At this rate, I may be able to go to the beach this spring break, and wear all my cute dresses and skirts Ive had laying around!
Everybody is different, but I just had to put my story out there in hopes that someone in a similar situation will read this and make a conscious decision to maybe give it a chance! :)

Thanks for telling your story, a familiar story indeed. It seems to work great AT FIRST and the user is so happy and wow with the results, then later on it's like the cream backfired on them and made their skin worse.
Your story is a happy one (for now) but the disaster stories far out weigh your happy go bio claire one.
Don't know what it is about Cosmetic Surgery/Florida but they say don''t get it done there. People take a weekend course and go willy nilly with a laser, yikes!!

IT's been only 1 week only .
Bio claire = 2-4 weeks of happy lightening+3-12 months to get ride of dark spots left+ fast redarkening.
Good luck.

They are two separate products with similar name, but are not the same. I'm surprised they would actually post this on the front cover as thoguh that is a good thing.
I've used the cream for a while off and on, I don't really like it. I prefer Palmers over it.

I thought the dangers of bio claire would never happen to me because I was only using it on my body.. three months later I started to see little white spots on my arms and body... stopped.. I wouldn't recommend nio claire to anyone.. it lightens fast at first but then stops and you know the rest.lol

I am a really dark african as well but it seems that bio claire does not work fast on my body but on my face everyone says your face is nice & clear it looks like you have makeup on. But I did not get black spots or anything like daht on my face just made it nice & clear. But yerh ima continue using bio claire because it dose not peel my skin like other lightning creams. Only peels my body but not face & sort of lightning cream work best for on my face only?
