I have got over 300 of them in the last week in my Hotmail account. Some in Spanish and some in French. I haven't opened any of the attachments . 16 more just came in in the last two minutes.
Why am I getting them? Who's sending the? Who do I make a complaint to?And how do I stop them?
ScottJem; Scotty, I sent you a PM. Please respond. Thanks, tom aka speedball1

Most likely it is a scam. They are trying to sell laptops, mp3's, TV's, motorcycles and some other things.

It sounds like spam to me. You put your email in the wrong place and someone let it slip to a spammer. Now you can either ignore them, and just delete them; you can create a new email and desert the spam-filled one; or maybe you can write to your email service about the problem

I'm wondering if it's a virus. Notice it's showing you as the sender, with messages failing to recipients, as though you sent it when you didn't. And it's coming from postmaster at Hotmail where your email is. That's something viruses will do - send junk out "from" you when it's not you. Then when they can't be delivered, it comes back to you. Which would also account for getting 300 in one week.

If that's the case, not much you can do, unless Hotmail has a virus filter and I'm not sure it's that fancy. (If you're downloading to an email client, do you have a virus scanner than scans downloaded email?)

Just delete them, and for future reference always protect your own account. You won't be able to help all the stuff like this. I get them occasionally. (Or a lot when there's a new outbreak.)
