Hi! ravana2,

After doing some research I would have to say, technically Yes.
Done with a little “slight of hand”, No.

For reasons known only to SKY TV they are allowing Insat Int. to be their ;) "broker" for Satellite services on mainland Europe.
One that comes to mind is not having to deal with the myriad legalities of the different countries involved.
If you notice, not only do you have to pay for Sky's service, but also a fee to Insat for handling the transaction. All done through Insat.
Terms and Conditions, See Risk : Insat International (http://foxyurl.com/55I)

On the Insat site they explicitly tell you, "Do not call SKY TV if you are having problems".
In this link you can, but you'd better have caller block for your phone number or else SKY will trace it back, and cut your programming. Also take note of the OP's experience with the local distributors of sales/service, and installation of Sat. TV

So your pretty much on your own if your outside the UK

This link “unofficially” gives its stamp of approval to Insat. Sky Outside UK?? - Sky - Digital Spy Forums (http://foxyurl.com/55u)

From what I've read, You may not be able to receive programing from the ASTRA-2D satellite.
You will need the largest dish 1.5m, even 2.4m for the best reception of the ASTRA-2A/2B because your just barely inside the footprint of that transponder. Your in Zagreb, right?

Would I obtain this service?
Given the difference in quality between mainland Europe, and UK programing, Yes, but I would always have trepidations in the back of my mind.

Should You?
That's a question only you can answer, check with your family, friends, and co-workers to see if any of them have experience with this.
The OP in Italy is chomping at the bit for seven months now, because he doesn't want Italian programing.
In the end, it all comes down to desire, If you have it, and are willing.

Here in the States “we” can do the same, but it is done much more covertly, because the penalties are that much stiffer.
Besides, I wouldn't be able to live with my dear wife if I tried something like that! ;)
