So I was in an accident the other day.what happened was I turned off mcintosh rd. onto fruitville.this gray mercedes cut me off and came like an inch literally from my car.I got pissed and caught up and cut him off.he came back going really fast up to my tail,so I slowed down a little and he got into the lane next to me with the intention to cut me off during him trying to get past me he hits the median and loses control.he hits my front and he goes off and flips into a little wall.he didn't have and injuries at the scene but he thought he broke his leg.I just got a call from my insurance company and now he got stitches in his head broke his knee, and lost all memory of what happened.there are 2 witnesses who said the same thing as me in the report.my insurance company is now telling me that I might have to pay for his injuries.is this true? I thought if it was both parties fault the it's no faulty and we each pay our own bills?please help me out with this

If your reckless driving contributed to his injuries - and it certainly appears that it did - you have some responsibility.
If you don't believe your insurance company (and apparently you don't), hire an Attorney to represent your interests.
I would expect to also be sued for pain and suffering, not just medical bills and lost wages.

I got careless driving and he got one to.but I didn't cause him to crash into me but I did cause him to try to cut me off.since I cut him off after he did at first.but he was trying to get past me and hit the median and lost control when he was trying to cut me off again.and both the witnesses said exactly what I said.it's not that I don't believe my insurance I just don't know much about the accident laws.I just read somewhere that insurance companies use other cases and get you to pay off for a whole different report.but my insurance said there could possibly be a settlement from both the insurance companies.and I never heard of that before,so I was just wondering.but my insurance company was saying that I only might have to settle with paying for half cause and only if they are serious and expensive injuries

I was told that no lawyers were going to be involved that's why I didn't know if it was true or not.
