Hi, shirley2go!

I changed your words in the title and in your post to certificate instead of dollar to reflect better as to what this is concerning.

Do you know what the graded condition of your certificate is?

Thanks!

shirley2go- i will give you what i have to go on :: as per your question :anmy value to this silver certificate: series 1928a;;blue seal;;signatures are woods and mellon::{ #1601- #-vf-20, $25.00 ;;;; unc-63- $55.00} if you have
one with a star on it before or after the serial number after the number :: #1601 ( * ) - f-20- $ 40,00 :: unc-63- vf-
20- unc -63 _ vf-20 $40.00 $375.00 { vf 20 means condition vf{ means very fine:: unc-63 is condition and grade:: the
{ * } is for star note : if you have one it will have a red or blue star just before or right after the serial number:: they are most ly twice as valuable as a reg note ;;note history:: a star note is put on a note when a note is damaged while printing and it is noted in a special and then burned in the furnace and a replacement note is printed in its place :: this also takes place when a note is returned to the treasury and the same thing happens :: the silver certificate came in several different denominations:: hope this has answered your questions and if you have any more come back to this post and holler:: to find out the condition and grade of your notes go to the very top of the page on collectables and click the very first one called {sticky } it will tell you how to figure it out :: have a great day and god bless f.b.e.
