I am sorry for not being more specific. My old Genie SP 99 garage door opener is in good working order except that here lately
The remote is failing to operate the door. The other remote that is permanently mounted in my car mirror is also failing to operate the door, so I know nothing is wrong with the remotes. The hard-wired button inside the garage will work the door with no problem. The batteries in the remote is fine and the one mounted in my car is run off the car battery which is fine. Once in a while, the remotes will work but now most of the time, they won't. They had been operating fine until just recently. I could find nothing to this effect in the online Genie manual. Does anyone have any information of what I should try? Thank you.

Check to make sure the little antenna wire on the indoor unit has not been moved out of place or somehow got disconnected. Had a similar problem here after I has a new metal door put on the wife's small garage. She complained she had to be right next to the door for the opener to work. I added 3 feet of wire to the little antenna wire hanging from the inside unit and the problem went away.
