How do I calculate the volume of a hexagon?
I really need the answer for a math exam I'm doing in school.

Do you mean a prism with a hexagon base?

If, so, do it like what you would have done for any other prisms, that is the area of the base times the height of the prism.

I think he probably means "area," not volume.

The area of a regular hexagon of side length "t" is:


A = \frac {3 \sqrt 3} 2 t^2

Since a hexagon is a plane figure, you can't calculate the volume. You calculate the area it by breaking the hexagon into six triangles. This page shows in great detail, how to do it:
