View Full Version : Moisture on windows

My house was built and wrapped WAY TOO tight. The house is about 15 years old - I have lived in it 5 years. In the winter (I live in Northern NY - the Adirondack Mts.) I get lots of moisture on the windows. The water runs down the windows. I have not noticed moisture/mold on the walls. There is plenty of ventilation in the attic. Not one icicle on the roof! Roof water is drained away from the house. No moisture in the finished basement. I have even removed some of the insulation above my bedroom with hopes of helping it breath. This didn't do much. I have looked in to air exchangers (Heat Exchange Ventilators). These are expensive, and I cannot imagine how to install it in my finished home.

Any thoughts? Thanks

What about a big humidifier?

What about a big humidifier?
I think what they need is a big DEhumidifier. Humidifiers put moisture into the air, I don't think they want any more of that. I think most hardware/home improvement stores have them.
