My indoor fan stays on and outdoor condinsor will not come on until I push in the contactor what couyld this be

Sounds like you have a 24 volt problem, check the t-stat wires entering the out door unit. Did you mow or weed eat latly may be cut them. Also is this a ac only or a heatpump. Some units have pressure controls so if you are low on freon it may not come on.
