Moving a drain

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I need to move my roughed-in Toilet drain in my basement floor. The house was built in 1978. I was reading your responses to others and wanted to ask you. Can you use a concrete saw blade and your regular circular saw or do you need to rent special equipment to cut into a concrete floor?

"Can you use a concrete saw blade and your regular circular saw?"

You can but you'll have to remove the guard to accommodate a blade large enough to saw through a 4" slab. This isn't something I would recommend as if the saw blade would break you would have no protection from flying pieces of the blade.
A much safer way would be to rent a cement saw for the job. Good luck Tom
