Allright, I should start by saying I own a 97 Chevy and had a complete system (2 Eclipse 10" 1500 RMS with 2 Memphis 800 W Class D Amps ran With 2 Capacitors), but due to circumstances, I needed money, and sold it all besides my Eclipse head unit. Now, all I have left is 1 Dual 460 MOSFET amp and a 10" Lanzar MAX series subwoofer. I am running 2 Gauge wire from my battery (the same wiring I had) and all of a sudden, my **** keeps cutting out. I know I went from Platinum to Bronze per se, but what the hell. I have been told a million different variations on what is wrong, but can't pinpoint the problem. Is this audio equipment that ****TY??

I installed a speaker system in my boat with a 10 disk changer. After a season the system started cutting in and out. I checked and double checked and this problem went on for a year. I was simply mind-boggled.
Then, my friend wanted to borrow my boat's cd's. I removed the cd case from the changer and he played them on his stereo. The first disk was Def Lepard and his stereo started to cut in and out.
Checked the CD and apparently the disk changer scraped some of the foil off the CD's logo. If you looked carefully, you could see through the disk in spots. The case was solved!
So, perhaps you should check the media that your playing?

Make sure all connections are strong. Redue the system setup to double check. The only other thing I can think of is that your stero that you are playing music through is not strong enough because there are certain amount of watts they can handle. If not that make sure no wire are touching. I had a thin piece of wire touching the othere and it kept cutting out because of it. Let me no what happens
