Hello my fiancé got picked up the other night for warrant for theft from last year and driving on a suspened license. So he got taken to jail in tn. Then he made bond for the theft but he had a warrant for violation of probation in ky so now he is on a hold to be expedited to ky. Will he serve time or will he be released with abunch of fines and more probation.. / I am new at all this so just want to know what to expect.

We have no way of telling what will happen to him at his probation violation hearing. That will be up to the judge to determine. He could do all his probation time in jail, he could do some time in jail and then more probation, he could do more probation on top of his probation. Anything is possible. But for right now he's not going anywhere until he has his probation violation hearing. You did not mention if the probation violation was felony or misdemeanor. That could make a big difference also in what his judge will do.

He will be held pending a probation hearing and it is completely up to the judge.

If the original crime was related to the new ones ( same type) it shows a history of crme and they may feel prison or jail is needed.

He could end up doing the entire probation time in prison, or being released after the hearing back on probation

But then he is still on bond for the new charges which could still send him to jail

OK well thank you.. that helps just give me an idea of what's going to happen. He made bonde for the theft and he has a hearing next week. After that he is expidited to ky for the probation violation so I guess we will see where it goes from there this is his first violation but this his is second theft he got on probation for the theft and they dropped it and gave him probation so this time he may do jail time it was theft less than 500.00 OK again thank you for youe help.
