Hello Folks,
My mother is a naturalized American Citizen. She obviously had permanent resident status prior to her naturalization.
I was born in Jamaica, so was she. She filed for me in the early 90s and I was granted permanent resident status as well. However, she sent me back to Jamaica after a year to complete my schooling due certain adversities. When she naturalized as a citizen I was also on the application as a minor under the age of 16. Seen that I did not spend a significant time in the states, have I lost my permanent resident status or am I a citizen in law by virtue of the fact that I was on the application for citizenship which was since granted?
I am yet to re-enter the US?
