Hi, in the yellow bar I have this message:

Internet Explorer is currently running with add-ons disabled. Click here to manage, disable, or remove your add-ons.

I have clicked that button. All of my add-ons are marked as enabled. This all began when I tried to update to Internet Explorer 8.

Could someone please show me how to get rid of this?

Thanks

The message is a red-herring, and whatever it's doing, it's incorrect.

Are you running from a shortcut? If you are, locate "iexplore.exe" and re-create a shortcut on your desktop or wherever you want the shortcut to be. (By default, iexplore.exe is found in C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe). I believe that this is a problem with the shortcut.

Here's a support page where people are asking the same question:

You are probably running IE with the shortcut pointing to
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -extoff

As mentioned above, you can make a new shortcut to i.e. with the shortcut listed above or you can

*right click on your IE icon and choose properties and remove the -extoff from the Target box and click Apply

Should be Ok

Post back if possible

The suggestions given corrected the problem, thank you. The ending -extoff was attached to the target. Deleting that made the yellow bar go away.

Now: Another problem,

When I click into IE, I get this message:

Internet Explorer Script Error
Line: 43
Char: 12
Error: Library not registered
Code: 0
It gives me a website, I think

Then, "Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

Can you help me with this issue?

Thanks...

Reset IE defaults

Click tools, internet options, adv. Tab, scroll to bottom and click Reset Defaults and OK

Close IE and restart
