Wife bought old broken chandelier, 9 arms on lower tier, 5 on top tier On of the top arms was broken , was badly repaired piece of wood down tube, wires were cut in 5 arm junction box so were two wire feeds to lower 9 arm junction box. Have rewired feed to lower junction box with polarity marked lamp wire, also rewired broken ( now repaired ) arm. Feed from ceiling is 3 wires only, orange, light gray and black with no bare or green earth, which is not european.
The orange wire goes into remains of a wire nut and connects to one of the feeds to the lower tier only (missing wires ), the gray wire connects to the other feed to the lower tier along with 4 other unmarked brown wires that connect to some of the arms. The black wire goes into the third and last wire nut along with 5 unmarked brown wires that also go into some of the arms.
Question is what is the wiring diagram for this mess and what polarity are the orange, gray and black wires ( I assume that the orange and gray are hot and neutral as they feed the lower tier and the black earth, which is which ) or should I just rewire with US code wire once I know how to do it.
Please help, a wiring diagram would be very helpful.
Thanks
