When I lived in Taiwan, I noted an unusual phenomenon--24 hour eye wear stores. Why would anyone visit an eyewear store at 3 AM? I have thought of a number of amusing possibilities: myopic vampires, near-sighted insomniacs, sleepwalkers, people with night blindness... Anyone got some other creative ideas? Even the locals couldn't tell me.

It's "夜市",which means "night market",it happens in Tawan and Honkong.
It could be date to song dynasty in China. At that time ,it's prosperous in China, everyone works hard to make more money, so they always did their business in night and day...
