Ned to replace furnace. Have bids from both Bryant and Carrier, which I have been told are identical. Bryant bid provides new honeywell thermostadt. Carrier says they will put in the Infinity control with their bid.
Bryant bid is about 200 bucks less. I'm looking at the plus 90 3 stage furnace (MN resident)
Advice/opinions on this, including if Infinity control is recommended/advised?

3 stage furnace? Does this have a heatpump? The carrier infinity control is very hard to work.

You're working with a novice here... I'm going to say (based on literature and visit with the guy who gave the bid) that there isn't a heat pump. Is heat pump more common with certain locales?

Around here most carrier dealers try to see gas furnaces and a heatpump outside. I was just wondering because I have not seen a 3 stage furnace. I have seen a 2 stage, and a modulating furnace.
