My ac unit was leaking water and it just blows out what is seems to be cool to slightly cool air over a period until it gets very warm and it starts to feel like the air isn't on at all.

How is your air filter? You probably froze up due to lack of air flaow or low on freon

Low air flow(dirty filter, dirty evaporator coil, bad blower motor) or low on refrigerant will cause one to freeze up. Turn your thermostat to off but turn the blower to on at the thermostat to help melt the ice. After a few hours check the filters an evap coil to see if they are clean.

If still running, you may have a contactor with points fused together.
