I was put on 9 months of unsupervised probation in March 2009. I pled guilty to 2 misdemeanors for obtaining a prescription by fraud (it was an altered script for Vicodin). I am required to do 2 random drug tests a month. I have passed every test done. I almost have my court costs and attorney fees paid off. My question is, what's the likely hood of me possible getting an early discharged say in June? After I got caught with the script (October 2008) I entered myself into an outpatient rehab program and have successfully completed that and was discharged this month. My therapist is sending a letter to my PO telling him I have completed the program. I don't want off probation because I intend to go back to my old ways, I just want off so I can get my life back to normal. My drivers license will still be suspended until August, but I can deal with that.

Ask your PO and explain your reasons - I think you got off fairly easily and personally doubt your request will be granted. It will also put you under the microscope and I don't know if you want that.

I did get off very easy and I am very thankful for that. I was originally charged with 4 felonies and 2 misdemeanors and I was facing up to 7 years in jail. I just want to get my life back to normal.

I don't see an early discharge, as I said - and I don't know that you want to ask and call attention to yourself.

4 felonies and 2 misdemeanors and facing up to 7 years in jail and you want to get off probation early? Hasn't the judge done enough for you by not placing you in jail? I would definitely not rock the boat and keep a very low profile until your probation is over. Just remember if you are caught in another crime before your probation is completed, you will have to attend a probation violation hearing at which time your original judge could decide to have you spend time in jail seeing that you got off extremely light this time. You need to remember that you are being punished and have to do your punishment. Probation is in lieu of jail time and needs to be taken seriously by you. Your life will be back to normal soon enough.

What is the possibilities that I will be put back on probation if I've been running for nine months if I turn myself in
