Hello,

I was deported from Canada for criminality and was wondering if I apply for jobs in
USA that want to do a background check will my record show up?

Thanks

Hello n:

There isn't any such thing as a "background check", just like there isn't any such thing as a hamburger. There's GOOD hamburgers and there's really BAD ones.

If an employer wants to find out about you, HE WILL. If you're just going to flip burgers, your employer probably won't find anything.

Agree with Excon - depends on the nature/extent of the background check.

If it's other than cursory, yes, it will show up.

The record is there, it just depends on how deep your employer is willing to check.

Thanks for all your feedbacks. Well I'm not a burger flipper I'm in the IT field and just wanted to know the info. Now do employers usually do FBI checks or state?
